Hämatom
Hämatom (German for "Hematoma") is a German metal band that formed in 2004 in Speichersdorf, Franconia.
The band concept is based on unifying musical and visual elements, leading to naming the band members after the four cardinal directions and wearing masks. Early on, European fables influenced their German lyrics. In time, the band transitioned to societal, religious and socio-critical themes.
The band has released eleven studio albums since 2004, and is increasingly charting higher. The album Wir sind Gott entered the charts at No. 5. The band's focal points are performing live and organising the festivals 'Dämonentanz' and 'Das laute Abendmahl' with other bands.
